Meet Isaias
our Workflow & Automation Expert
My name is Isaias Morales, and I'm 26 years old and originally from Bolivia. I pursued both my Bachelor's and master's degrees in Global Supply Chain Management at Jönköping University in Sweden.
How did your journey lead you to your current position in the company?
My journey into the world of Bosch Rexroth began during my master’s studies, when I had the opportunity to intern in logistics at our Hägglunds office in Örnsköldsvik. That experience opened the door to the Rexroth universe and sparked my interest in automation and process improvement.
Can you describe your role and responsibilities within the company? What do you enjoy most about your job?
I am part of the Graduate Specialist Program (GSP) and work with data, automation and workflows, focusing on maintaining and developing internal systems to improve efficiency across the Europe North organization. The GSP program is a two year program in which I rotate thru 4 different stages, thru the stages I get a chance to develop diverse skills and roles. As part of my rotations, one rotation is an international rotation (which I look forward to!!). My role in my rotations so far involves working with repetitive tasks and finding smarter, faster ways to handle them — freeing up time for more value-adding work. What I enjoy most is learning about the different processes within our company and discovering new ways to optimize them. It’s like solving a puzzle every day, and I love that challenge.
How do you contribute to the success and growth of the company in your current position?
By streamlining workflows and reducing the time spent on repetitive tasks, I help create space for innovation and deeper focus. My works supports teams in being more productive and agile, which ultimately contributes to the company's growth and success.
Outside of work, what are some of your passions or hobbies? How do you balance your personal interests with your professional life?
Outside of work, I'm passionate about basketball and film. I play basketball a few times a week and enjoy attending local events and games in the city. It's great way to stay active, connect with others, and unwind after a busy day. I also love watching films and series - they're a source of inspiration and relaxation for me.
Can you share a personal or professional achievement you're proud of?
One achievement I'm particularly proud of, is the impact I made during my time at university. I worked actively to improve opportunities for students, both academically and socially, and was honoured to be named an Honorary Member of the Student Union. I also received the "Rising Start" award from the school, which recognized my contributions and potential. These experiences not only shaped my leadership and collaboration skills but also reinforced my passion for creating positive change - something I carry with me into my professional life today.
How do you interact within customers or partners in your role? What do you find most rewarding about these interactions?
Although I don't work directly with external customers, I see my colleagues as my internal customers. Collaborating within them to improve systems and workflows is incredibly rewarding. I especially enjoy those moments when, through teamwork, we discover even better solutions than we intially imagined.
Can you share a moment where you made a positive impact?
Although I'm still new in my role, I've already had the chance to take intiative beyond my immediate responsibilities. I've been exploring areas where automation could bring value to teams outside of my direct scope, simpley by staying curious and asking questions. This proactive approach has led to a few ideas that we're now testing, aimed at improving internal efficiency and reducing manual work. It's been rewarding to see how even small suggestions can spark interest and lead to meaningful improvements and it motivates me to keep learning and contributing wherever I can.
What do you value most about the company culture?
I really appreciate the collaborative spirit at Bosch Rexroth. There's strong sense of teamwork and openness, and everyone is willing to support each other to reach common goals. It's motivating to be part of a culture where ideas are welcomed, and improvemtns are constantly pursued.
